Google is Mobile-izing

By now, you’ve probably heard Google’s getting into the cell phone business. The company’s developing an open-source operating system for cell phones (meaning any developer anywhere can help stretch the software’s limits and create exciting modifications). Once Google releases it’s Android software, its main competition will likely be Microsoft’s Mobile OS, which is featured in many smartphones. Here’s a preview of the new mobile OS, given by Google’s Andy Rubin in San Francsico recently:

So I turned on the Astros game last night and they were losing to the Cubs. But then something spectacular happened: ESPN cutaway to Boston for the Redsox-Royals game. Boston Pitcher Jon Lester was a few outs away from throwing the first no-hitter of 2008, and the first by a Redsox southpaw in more than 50 years. And if you didn’t know Jon Lester’s story before the no-hitter, it’s a good one.
