The Last One for Lindsay

Little Cade, served by The Lindsay Foundation

Once again, Anthony Yanez and I were proud to be part of The Lindsay Foundation Charity Golf Tournament at Oakhurst Golf Club. It raises money to help special needs children and their families afford therapy, treatment, and medical devices. If you’d like to donate, you can visit The Lindsay Foundation online store. I’m sad to report this is probably the last year of the tournament. Without a main corporate sponsor, it’s become too expensive. The organization is working on a new event for next year — maybe a gala, fishing tournament, or something else creative. We’ll keep you posted. Meantime, here are some pictures that will link you to more from Friday’s event. Enjoy!

  1. Wow. Such service. I requested pics last week, and they’re already posted. LOVE the pic of Little Cade and his giant, chocolate chip eyes. HE’S PRECIOUS! (The one of Anthony Yanez ain’t bad either). Hopefully, corporate sponsors will come forth to assist The Lindsay Foundation with upcoming events. Thank for sharing…the heartwarming stories are my favorite.

  2. I am Lindsay’s mom and the founder of The Lindsay Foundation. Our sincere appreciation is extended to Channel 2 and the continued support of Anthony Yanez and Owen Conflenti. To date, Channel 2 is the only news group that has taken an interest in this organization. They promote each event that we have. And, when they can, they participate. And, let me tell you, they are entertaining on a golf course! As Owen said, this could be the last tournament. It is not our desire to end the Annual Golf tournament, but for it to go forward, we will need a Title Sponsor in 2009. We look forward to hearing from someone who may be able to help us. And, we look forward to our future relationship with Channel 2 and Anthony and Owen. Thank you, Guys, for everything.

  3. I want to thank you and Anthony and Channel 2 for all of the support you have given to The Lindsay Foundation and our annual golf tournaments. I had the privilege of serving as Lindsay’s Grandma during her too short life and saw how her mother fought for her medical needs. With proceeds from our annual events, this foundation has kept other families from fighting the same battles. We don’t want the golf tournament to go away but without corporate assistance, it will. We will keep you informed of other events also. Thank you, thank you, thank you. The pictures are great and we had a great afternoon with you guys.
