Can You Hear Me Now?

We had a little factoid this morning about U.S. President Warren G. Harding, in 1921, being the first to give an inaugural speech over loudspeakers.  On TV this morning, I guessed that Harding used Tannoy speakers, which have a long history and fabulous reputation.  But I was wrong.  From what I could find online, they were Magnavox speakers.  Tannoy wasn’t born until later in the decade.
