UPDATE: Pitching for Dollars

Anne Jacobs from Fort Bend ISD sent me some more pictures to share with you.  She wanted to make sure we gave a shout out to the faculty cheerleaders!  Click here to see them and the rest of the photo albums.

ORIGINAL POST:  So I was feeling awful yesterday and had to miss this year’s Commander Baker charity softball game at Austin High School in Fort Bend County.  I’ve guest umpired the last two years and it’s always one of my favorite events.  Each year, the game pits students against teachers. Proceeds from ticket sales and the midway go to a charity of the students’ choice.  This year, the teachers won the game (boo!! I always root for the kids) but the bigger win — they raised over $7,000 for scholarships and The Red Cross…  Congratulations!!

  1. Sadly you left off the faculty cheerleaders in your pictures! We had a great time and are all a little sore from showing off. Richard and Susan Lazarou give so much to the school and community and we are honored to work with them on such a great project to honor a wonderful man.
