Safe Sunscreen

Badger Sunscreen

Before you head out and buy sunscreen, read this article from WebMD.   According to the Environmental Working Group (EWG), you probably think you’re protecting your family by slathering on the sunscreen.  Out of 500 sunscreens they tested, EWG only recommends 5% of the lotions!  Why?  They say the chemicals in common sunscreens can penetrate the skin and disrupt normal hormones.

In the article, EWG provides their list of the safest sunscreens.  One of the top ones they recommend is by Badger.  It’s the one I use everyday because it’s also recommended by EWG’s website.  I research all cosmetic products and their ingredients on this website before I buy.  I’ve seen the recommended sunscreens at Central Market and Whole Foods.  The Badger brand sunscreen is a little thicker than normal ones and it’s smell is different.  I mix it daily with a little moisturizer and it goes on really well and soaks right in the skin.  It’s not cheap either but it lasts forever, a little goes a very long way!
